Eatontown, NJ, September 29, 2009 – Viecore FSD, a wholly owned subsidiary of Nuance Communications and developer of advanced military command & control applications and tools, was awarded a Broad Agency Announcement contract entitled “Battle Command Enabling Technologies” to support the Command & Control Directorate of the Army’s Research, Development and Engineering Command (RDECOM) at Fort Monmouth, New Jersey.

This vehicle will provide development, integration, certification, training and engineering services supporting both legacy and advanced data and applications in emerging battlefield environments. The focus of the contract is on deploying Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) based open-source technology to DoD agencies, the joint community, and the tactical warfighter.

The Battle Command Enabling Technologies contract has a term of 3 years and will support activities in Fort Monmouth, NJ, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD and Fort Leavenworth, KS.
