Q: How does this affect Nuance’s and eCopy’s current MFP/OEM partnerships?
A: There is no change today, and we will work together to become an even better partner and product supplier to our mutual partners.
Q: Will Nuance retain the eCopy brand and the product names?
A: Nuance values the eCopy brand, and will retain the eCopy brand as a flagship for Nuance-branded MFP solutions. All Nuance brands, and private-label OEM brands will also remain unchanged. The eCopy team and products are now a part of the Nuance Document Imaging Division.
Q: What are Nuance’s plans for eCopy’s solutions/products? How does this affect Nuance MFP products like PaperPort PSP?
A: Nuance is committed to all eCopy products, including ScanStation, ShareScan and PaperWorks.
Also, there is no change in Nuance’s products, including OmniPage, PaperPort PSP, and PDF Converter Professional, as well as private labeled products supplied by Nuance to our OEM partners. Nuance’s X-Solutions products, which are MFP server solutions, will continue to be our private-label OEM and SMB solution.
Nuance MFP desktop solutions will be enhanced over time to integrate with eCopy server solutions, including private-label versions. The schedule for this enhancement will be developed in concert with our OEM partners.
Nuance will increase its investments in both MFP desktop and server solutions as a part of this acquisition, and will continue to support and enhance eCopy products. Nuance will also more tightly integrate its MFP desktop with the new MFP server solutions gained as a result of this acquisition.
Q: Whom do we contact for ongoing eCopy product and service needs?
A: Today, all of your eCopy and Nuance contacts remain unchanged. Nuance is committed to a strong combined organization, one that can continue to deliver the best products, and provide the best level of channel and customer support and service.
Q: What does this mean for Nuance’s desktop Imaging products such as PaperPort?
A: Nuance PaperPort, OmniPage and PDF Converter Professional target individuals and enterprises, where eCopy’s solutions are tightly integrated with network MFP solutions. Nuance see’s opportunities to leverage eCopy’s channel partners to increase awareness and sales of Nuance desktop applications.
